17 Brands Recall 1 5 Million Bikes For Quick Release Issue

Bicycles with front quick release levers that do not open a full 180 degrees from the closed position are not included in this recall. WASHINGTON BRAIN Rocky Mountain is recalling 17300 bikes in the US and 61000 in Canada because the front quick release can come in contact with the disc brake rotor.

13 Manufacturers Recall Over 1 Million Bikes for Quick Release Problems November 3 2015 CPSC has announced a new recall by 13 bicycle manufacturers for about 13 million bikes in the US.

17 brands recall 1 5 million bikes for quick release issue. This recall involves all models of Trek bicycles from model years 2000 through 2015 equipped with front disc brakes and a black or silver quick release lever on the front wheel hub that opens far enough to contact the disc brake see Figures 1 and 2.
